LabCC mx.
LABCC is an initiative that encourages the specialization of young choreographers through a call by the Jalisco Secretariat of Culture through the Dance Coordination, within the framework of the Germany / Mexico Dual Year with the institutions from the International Dance and Art Center of the Fabrik Potsdam / Germany Movement and the Goethe-Institut Mexiko.
The objective of this LABORATORY is the creation and development of small choreographic works, in a lapse of nine months. The development of these works will be based on the methodological work proposed by the couple of choreographers Malgven Gerbes and David Brandstätter, from SHIFTS. Art in movement , who will be in charge of the pedagogical project and will be accompanying the young choreographers during various moments of creation.
This LAB concluded with the presentation of the resulting works at the International Center for Dance and Art of the Fabrik Movement in Potsdam (2017,Germany).

Research and creation process that investigates the perception / construction of labels and the interpersonal relationships that are generated between them. In a search to contextualize the process with reality and to question the social / political problems that we face today.

Project F5 investigates from the choreography some effects of "updating", it seeks to generate a body rehearsal in which the reality of which we are not very detailed is exposed, a hypnotic reality that becomes the everyday race.

Let's not forget ...
Within this process we explore the identity of each performer, recognizing the particular characteristics of each one and their environment, their history and their roots. We think about the importance of recognizing these elements, of discovering ourselves as part of a tree with very deep roots that extend beyond our territory.
