Elogio de la Locura. Colectivo i
Elogio de la locura, by Colectivo i, is inspired by the text of Erasmus of Rotterdam, with a playful, urban sense and without any pretense, rather than giving free rein to folly, the work gives life to different characters and little stories, that offer testimony of its madness and its fragility.
The style is approached from a language that goes through a process of progressive fusion between clown and dance, which allows interaction with the public.
The work has been presented in various national and international festivals, such as Habana Vieja Ciudad en Movimiento(Cuba), Guadalajara SUCEDE cultural festival, Onésimo González Contemporary Dance Festival, Mexico Funerary Expo and at the Ukhupacha Festival in Cusco (Peru).
Colectivo i or Colectivo Metiche— arises in 2014 at the initiative of Larisa González, who brings together graduates and professors of the Performing Arts degree from the University of Guadalajara, with the aim of working collectively and betting on the creative force of each co-creator performer.
Colectivo i has an inclusive and diverse perspective, it approaches its scenic proposals from a body language that permanently transits a process of progressive fusion between physical theater, experimental dance and clown.
The direction is in charge of Larisa González, with the creators and interpreters Irais Ávila, Anahí Bañuelos, Meztli Robles, Rafael Rosas, Tania Díaz, Lizbeth Herrera, Érick Estrada, Jessica Medrano and Daniel Ruttet, and the collaboration of the visual artist David García and the musical advisor Carlos Ramírez Powel.
